Biography
Elahe Khayatian received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mathematics from the University of Shahid Beheshti in Tehran, Iran. She then joined the National University of Singapore (NUS) as a SINGA Scholarship awardee. Currently, she is a final-year Ph.D. candidate in Computational Biology at NUS.
Research Interests
During her Ph.D., Elahe has applied her mathematical expertise to address problems in evolutionary biology. Furthermore, she has engaged in various data science projects, including object detection in videos and dynamical systems modeling. Currently, her research is focusing on applying graph theory to incorporate realistic biological networks into VAE and GAN models for biological data generation.
