Yuan Sin Yi, BSc

Biography

Sin Yi received her BSc in Business Analytics from the National University of Singapore (School of Computing). After graduating, she began her career as a Data Scientist, working in a small team within the semiconductor industry. She helped to develop machine learning and optimization models to enhance chip placement and routing processes, leading to faster and more power-efficient chips for customers. She learned about the Bioinformatics Institute and was particularly drawn to the impactful projects that address real-world problems. She aspires to quickly transition into the research world of Biology and contribute to meaningful advancements in the field.
